Samsung Staron Surfaces Offers Professional Continuing Education
New Course Provides Architects and Designers With the Lates t in Solid Sur face Solutions

LOS ANGELES –In an effort to assist architects and designers in obtaining credit toward meeting their continuing education requirements, Samsung Staron Surfaces has qualified as a registered education provider of both the American Institute of Architects¡¯ Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) and the International Interior Design Association¡¯s Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IIDA-IDCEC).

The one-hour course titled, ¡°Solid Surface Solutions in Commercial Settings,¡± offers an overview of the major surfacing options available and the reasons why solid surface is rapidly becoming the material of choice for many commercial architects and designers. Particular attention is given to current trends in healthcare facility design and how solid surface meets the requirements of organizations that regulate the healthcare industry. Additional topics of the presentation include solid surface market trends, commercial applications, manufacturing and fabrication processes, product warranties, service, and maintenance.

With its unique offerings, the program is already receiving popular attendance, explains Dale Mandell, national sales manager for Staron Surfaces. ¡°We¡¯ve developed a continuing education course that is relevant to the needs of both architects and designers,¡± says Mandell. ¡°Solid surface has become the universal surface solution that meets the demanding technical and aesthetic requirements of today¡¯s commercial interiors. Our program focuses on the healthcare industry in order to address the opportunities that exist in one of the leading new construction segments in the United States and Canada.¡±

The course entitles participants to one Learning Unit (LU) for AIA registered architects and/or one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for IIDA registered designers. The course also qualifies for Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit, which is a requirement of the AIA/CES.

Staron Surfaces regional sales managers and their distribution partners are presenting nationally to architects and designers on a continual basis. To learn more about the course, or to schedule your firm for participation, contact:
